Position: Global Director of Planning & Procurement
The Global Director of Planning & Procurement is responsible for ensuring Planning excellence and directing and developing sourcing and procurement activities across the AMS division. This position will manage the execution and strategy for centralized buying and planning activity WW to include executing and ensuring coordination for strategic sourcing initiatives, all facets of supplier management and the overall strategic planning and procurement organization to support multi-customers and multi-sites. They will be responsible for transforming us from a multi-site approach to a central approach.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Know and understand the strategic direction of the business.
· Define, develop and implement a Planning & Procurement strategy, which contributes that strategic direction.
· Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value-added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems).
· Identify and implement best practices in procurement, planning and supplier management
· Responsible for developing sourcing and supplier management strategies
· Define the most efficient processes and tools which support Corporate business.
· Oversees and manages corporate procurement strategy, purchasing expertise and service functions while adding business value and improving bottom line performance.
· Develop, communicate and implement best practices and operating policy globally.
· Drive purchasing programs, global sourcing strategy, contract negotiations and performance management
· Able optimize spend to streamline process and improve efficiency while implementing overall cost reductions.
· Reduce and manage the supplier base to reasonable size.
· Manage supplier sourcing and certification, negotiate contracts and drive services and quality standards.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s in Business Management OR equivalent education and training AND 8 – 10 years experience in a relevant planning and/or procurement position OR equivalent external work experience, and at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
