PURPOSE OF POSITION
To assist in developing, creating and implementing ongoing media and marketing efforts. Plans and executes internal and external events with proficiency.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Maintain complete knowledge of all hotel services/features
· Handle guest complaints promptly and effectively, ensuring follow-up
· Promote positive relations with guests and employees
· Maintain high level of knowledge of the hotel product and the competitor's product
· Maintain good relationships with counterparts at competing hotels; promote all hotel properties whenever possible
· Design and work within market plan and maintain file database
· Meet solicitation and maintenance call requirements; handle all incoming inquiries
· Follow-up with in-house guest to ensure on-going service to the guest
· Attend designated in-house training and seminars
· Attend departmental and hotel meetings as required
· Entertain customers in all outlets as necessary
· Successfully complete all required training/certification processes
· Process paperwork to clients, other departments, etc., within a timely manner. Complete all assigned paperwork within a timely manner
· Develop relationships with key media players and the travel industry
· Build and maintain positive relations with the International Sales Offices
· Administer staff performance reviews on a timely basis
· Ensure financial successes of hotel by overseeing all expenses and ensuring that all special events are profitable for the hotel

· Perform job function independently with minimal supervision, even under pressure, but also work cohesively as a team
· Ability to ensure security and confidentiality of guests and hotel data
· Ability to enforce hotel's quality procedures, etc.

· Ability to remain calm and courteous in demanding/difficult situations
· Outstanding writing and oral communication skills
· Ability to interface confidently with high-profile customers and media
· Extremely detail-oriented with task-mastering abilities
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree
EXPERIENCE
· Minimum two years’ experience in hotel operations, related to or preferably in special events, conference services, public relations, advertising or sales
